Well, been a long time, long long time...but i'm back.... well, the country's situation iz da' same as before... but da' loadsheddin' [powercut] has been minimized to 12 hrz a day from 16 hrz before... so, da' schedule is really screwed up now 'cause we don't know when da' electricity come n' go... still due to the tharuht bandh, petrol shortage in da' city.... the maoist still disputing over the chief of army staff while there r bigger problems in the country....

well, it's sunday evening....
guess we got some hourz of electricity..ha, ha... well, yesterday on saturday meltdown we had 3 young ladies in da' house...they were the winner of Kid Queen 2009 Ms.Monika Sherchan, 1st runner up - Ms Rona, and 2nd Runner Up - Shubha...
well, today looked like a usual day...wuz' suppose to be a bandh but the talk between the government and the protestors, i guess, came to a consensus, so the bandh was called off....
had a few meetin' to attend to...
but as the day went on all of da' sudden aroun Lainchaur the roads were closed...could see a few students on the street protestin.... still haven't found out what had happened.. let u know tomorrow..

well itz jus been crazy few wkz. U know how it goez. With 16hrz of loadsheding, n a few hrz of electricity, it jus getz crazy. Even da inverters dont get charged.
Even now using mi mobile to write this blog.
Forget us,even ntc's btrys dont get charged, makin da network which was alwyz great, even better,if u know what i mean.
After several days of terai bandh, itz been called off 2day,so a relief 2 all those stranded there.

Well, i guess another weekz passed. U know how it goez...examz....tv....radio.... well, today kathmandu wuz' almost closed throughout da' day... i think 4 cars vandalized and 1 burned....street full of burned tires and stones...what started out as a peaceful protest by the student wing of Nepali Congress against an attack by the student wing of the Maoist, turned into a scuffle between the police and the students wing of Nepali Congress... But as the day passed.. everything came to a peaceful end with more protest to come in the future... i guess...
well, 8 PM, radio time, so we got da' Bring Da' House Down Supa' 50 Chart....this week we came down to da' top 8th position....next well da' top 7 will be introduced... ha, ha... herez da' chart...

Well, it's saturday's end now. Had a gig at Maharajgunj celebrating World Aids Day, in advance and to raise fund for the women living with HIV/AIDs. Then Off to the football match at the Dashrath Rangasaha[stadium], a friendly to raise awareness and fund for children living with HIV/AIDs. Then Off to image for Saturday Meltdown. Guest for the show were Mr. Ian Wall - Country Representative for Community Action Nepal [CAN] and Mrs. Rajani Gyawali - Health Manager of CAN.

Well, friday, time fo' bring da' housed down.

Well, here is a map of districts in Nepal which have Women Human Rights Defenders Network. As previously written, we have been working on this map since 2006 and this map is still incomplete 'cause the plan of WOREC is to have WHRD in every district of Nepal.

The other picture is of the Yuwa Bhela we had some time back. We discussed about what things that are lacking in the New Nepal and how to go about it. That's me with my old fren from St.Xavier's Pukar. We met up after almost 14yrs. I guess he's settled in the USA.

Well, it's thursday. should've left for Damauli but still here in Ktm. It's another day today. Well, a month back two guys were kidnapped at malekhu by the maoist. they found their dead bodies yesterday. the bandh is for the truth to be out cause the maoist have denied it but the eye witness say it's them.
well, it's been a long time. so, m posting some of the pictures and places i've been while i wuz' gone.....ha, ha.

Rashmi from Equal Access is the lady in the picture above, sweet girl.. They produce program for radios, that are aired all over Nepal. She took an interview for her show. The interview was recorded at the Garden of Dreams. Had heard about the place but finally got a chance to see it. below is picture of mi at the Garden of Dreams. Nice Place.

Well, another day, there wuz' a small gathering with the "Sava Sadhz", the people who are going to write the New Nepal's New Constitution. Well, the talk program was about the Women and Children living with HIV/AID's and how they also should be heard in the new Constitution. Got a chance to meet and hear a lot of their thoughts, face to face.

Well been a hectic week. U know how it goez. With the tour coming up. We'll be hitting Damauli on the.... and then Birgunj on the...... Dates coming up soooooon. I know but i can't tell you though. ha, ha.

Well, the last time i wrote, it wuz Saturday now it's the end of friday. Today had Rap Connect,a new rap group, on Bring da' house down. since today wuz' the first Friday of the month , we had Hip Hop Nite Live. They performed their trackz live on da' show. Yeap it's the end of the day saturday. Chilled out day today. But 8pm time for the studioz. Yeap and the guests for Saturday Meltdown were World Ms. University Nepal 08 Priyanka Pokharel [In white], Ms. tourism 07 Kunchhang Moktan [In purple tshirt] and Ms. Teen 07 /World Ms. University Nepal Ayusha Karki [In Grey sweater]. Well we talked about life, beauty pageant, Ms. Nepal and the problems the youth were facing today. Priyanka thought the major problem the youth were facing was drugs, Ayusha thought it was depression and something different came from Kunchhang, she said all the of the above plus the dressing sense of some of the youth today was a major problem.

Well, it was a very interesting program. Well, Priyanka's leaving for the World Ms. University Pageant, so we wish her all the best for that.

Well, listening to the grapevine, the noise is that tomorrowz a bandh [strike] in the Kathmandu Valley, so letz see how the day goez tomorrow.

Well this wuz' today's concertz poster. Wuz' a great gig, enjoyed it a lot. And Regina Rimal, up and coming artist supported me in the female vocals. Well, the concert wuz at Bhuikhel, near Soyambhu. The weirdest thing happened, while returning, i took a wrong turn and we totally got lost. It took us more than 45 minutes to find the main road.

Well, this picture is from Radio Audio. The programz name wuz' khulduli.com. It wuz' on Saturday from 10-11Pm. Wuz' a very interesting show. Well, on Saturday Meltdown, dat'z mi show on Image FM 8-9PM, we did a Tihar Special.

Well, let's start with tuesday, had a lotta' meeting with the 4 city tour [Damauli, Pokhara, Biratnagar and Dhankuta] coming in the end of November. So, the whole day went to that. Plus an extra tour in the schools of Ktm, so had a small meeting with Y4Y as well.

Then, today Wednesday. well, we had another Tihar Special shoot at Nepal 1. it wuz' a lotta' fun. well, you have to see the program and i'll let u know when it will be aired [if i find out]. ha, ha. then wuz' off to Kunchhang's B'day party, had known her since i think she wuz' in class 6 or 7. well, i think she 1st rap'd when she wuz' in class 8 or 9[then I had da' Rappaz Union goin' on] in our 2nd or 3rd album. Now, she's started modeling, became Ms.Tourism....and the list goes on. well below that's us in the cover of Glamour Plus magazine.

Yeap, Monday today. missed out yesterday i think 'cause probably nothing interesting happened or I just got lazy. But today had a shooting for Nepal 1 channel's Dipawali Special. Well, that just means Dashai is over but Tihar is coming.

Well, wuz' fun shooting today. there wuz' actually a competition between the artist to see who could make 10 diyo's in the least amount of time and light them with one match stick. Did I win???

Well, to see the answer, i guess you'll have to tune in to the show to find out. But you can see the diyo's i made on da' picture above.

Well, good news for all the vehicle owners. Well, Nepal Oil Corporation is in profit more than 1 crore per month now, with the world fuel prices going down. That mean for some more time we'll be getting fuel easily. And there is bonus too, and the bonus is the prices which has remained the same in Nepal for some time, even when the World price had gone done, will go down in Nepal too. Didn't get it?? well, in simple term, the petrol price will be decreased in Nepal too.

Not only that even NTC has cropped down it's prices per minute in your phone lines.

Well, it's the end of the day today, yeap tomorrowz sunday. ha, ha. well, dashai is over, tika is over but the party remainz. yeap today had 3 partiez to attend n' did make it to all of them.

talkin' about yesterday i don't rememba' too well. it wuz' jus' one of 'em dayz when u don't quiet find your groove. u'r totally outta' tune. u know how that goez. ha, ha. it mus've been the neck pain that i got. Bring Da' House Down seemed like one of the longest hour 'cause like i said wuz' totally outta' rhythm. but still it wuz' a fun show.

but today well pretty much back in tune. like i said had 3 family partiez to attend to. but 8pm u know work callz. had a short interview about college life with the president Mr. Rijan and vice president Mr. Ajen of Student Counsel of Caspian College. Well, i asked them about the major problem of the youth around them and the answers were Drugs came at no.1, then Frustration due to the feeling of lack of opportunity came second and Freedom and Love came third. Well, now you have been informed.

Well two dayz gone. Wonder where mi wuz' lost but miz still here. well, tuesday wuz' tika, da' last day of da' festival. so, wuz bz with that. then came Wednesday n' today, u know afta such a long holiday, u need more to chill out to get over da holiday. nope, jus playin'. well, actually finished up some work.

Chilled around town today. Looked very quiet. I guess most of the street vendors have been removed from the streetz starting yesterday. This way they plan to reduce traffic jam. well, they say, the street vendors are blocking the sidewalkz, so, the people are walking on the road and the traffic jam is created. so, lets c if the traffic jamz r reduced. will tell u tomorrow.

Tika - Yesterday and today

Yesterday wuz Dashami, it's the main tika day. The best time for tika wuz 11:03. n' we did get to put tika around that time. Then went around family places putting tika. Even today, it's da same. Tika is the main part of dashai as we all know, to get blessingz from our elderz, a time also to get together with family memberz u haven't seen for a while.
Well this year, our President and our former King, both of their places were open for anyone who wanted to get tika and blessingz from them.
Got Bring da' house down tonite. Will be a chilled out show 'cause itz da' holidayz.

Nawami - da' 9th Day

Today is Nawami, the 9th day of Dashai. On the 9th day, there is a puja of the vehicles and all the machineryz we use. and datz wat we did too as you can see on the picture below. Some people give sacrifices to the vehicles as an offering for protection but we don't. We just bust open a coconut as an offering to the vehicles. Then went out and the streets were deserted except in around Basantapur. There was a huge cue to see the new Kumari [Living Goddess].

Well my mom wanted to donate a few things to the Old Age Home [Bridha Ashram], she had seen on television. So, took my mom and mi grandma to the place in Rabhi Bhawan. They are currently housing 25 women who had been neglected and left on the street. The lady there gave them shelter and if you want to help them out you can alwyz send me an email info@nirnaya.com.np . Here are some of the pictures of the women there and the lady who's housing them.

Well, a sad news today, a Yeti Airlines plane crashed in the morning. Everyone aroun 16-18ppl passed away except the pilot who survived the crash. May the lost onez soul rest in peace.

Tuesday today, It's astami. Well, took a trip around town. it wuz' pretty much deserted. As you can see on the picture, dat'z da' durbar marg area. It's pretty much empty. Datz da' sign of the festival season.

Well, upstairz family memberz r playin' card. once evry year durin' dashai, we play cards for fun. they say in dashai you have to play card once. But i don't play, i just like to watch, that too, not for long but for a while. then off to my work.

Well, letz end da' day with a sweet poem dat' a sweet lady Rijju wrote. I think she'll be a great poet in the future. It's beautiful n' here it iz:

Well, it wuz' fulpati today. Starting tomorrow many shops will close down for the holidayz. So, lotz of rushz on da' street. Well, today again some parts of the road wuz' closed down for a while for the convoy of the PM and the President.

Well, they were going to Tudikhel to see the Fulpati being brought to Kathmandu from Gorkha. And around Tudikhel you can see the people looking in to see the different activites happenin'.

Chilled Out Day

Well, a chilled out day today. Had to stop at da' ridez place to dress up mi ride, like i told u last time had gone shoppin' fo' her. ha, ha. Wuz there fo' about 3 or 4 hrz, so got a chance to hang out with the kids there, as you can see on da' picture.We talked about their school and how their life wuz'. All of them were in their vacation, enjoyin', doin' homework, flyin' kitez.....
This guy in the front in class one said he had two girlfrenz. but i wondered does he really know wat' girlfren meanz.
Had a short meeting with Rakesh and Prashna.
Then went on a ride aroun' town fo' a while.

Bring Da' House Down

It's been one of them weekz, zig n' zag. One day no traffic, next day hrz of traffic jam. N' yeap friday wuz' one of 'em long hrz of jam dayz. ha, ha. Definetely i couldn't escape from it either. Did get caught in it n' dat' too almost 2 hrz. Actually I wuz suppose to be at Maitri FM at 1pm but due to da traffic jam, jus couldn't make it there.

So, after escaping dat', took a detour from da route i wuz' travelling to Sanepa. Met up with Rakesh from Mad Zone. chilled fo' a while then had a wedding of mi fren Anila to attend to.

Knowin' how da' road wuz', from Sanepa took da' Ring Road to da Wedding Venue.

Straight from da' Venue, after 1 n' half hour of another long wait finally made it to Image FM. Two up and comin' rapperz Graffiti n' Yokahic perform live fo' da' whole hour. U can see 'em picturez here.

Well Thursdya wuz' a government holiday to celebrate Eid, Muslim festival, to celebrate the end of Ramadhan. So, the traffic wuz very low. Well, got a few thingz done. Had a chance to shop a lil', not fo' myself though, fo' mi ride. Then caught up on some meetinz. Had a short meeting with Y4Y [youth for youth], an organization that appointed me da' Goodwill Ambassador. [Thank you fo' da' honor. ] On da' picture are two members of Y4Y Kanchan - the editor of teensansar.com and Govinda, he's da' reporter for teensansar.com. Had a short meeting with them. It'z Back

Yeap it's back. this mornin' i had written dat' da' traffic jam wuz' almost gone yesterday. but i wuz' wrong. itz back. Yes got stuck in da' jam, in total almost 4 hourz.
I just remembered why there wuz' no traffic jam yesterday when i wuz' out. 45 minutes before the arrival of the Prime Minister from da' US of A, the traffic police were clearing the roads. Somebody had said these things would not happen in the new Nepal,but it's still happenin' n' i'm not talking about da' traffic jam.
That's why there wuz' no jam when i wuz' out. but today it wuz' a whole different story. But i did get A work done - tired, burned, feetz numb, neck pain.......
But it wuz' interesting to see the street. Everyone wuz' stuck, I saw one of the Minister Hisila Yami, she wuz' stuck, army jeep, even traffic jeep itself wuz' stuck in da' jam. I got da' picturez to prove it, although i din't have mi mobile ready to take the ministerz picture. but i did get da' otherz. ha, ha. Even da' elephant wuz' stuck in da' jam. jus kidding. the elephant wuz' near da' zoo, she wuz' used for some advertisement, i jus' happened to pass dat' way. Well, tired so m out. Yesterday tuesday, dat'z mi vegetarian day, like every tuesday. Long day yesterday. Here and there, had to catch up on a few thingz. Well, da' roadz seem a lil empty. Maybe cause it wuz' da' 1st day of da' festival season, most everyone had a holiday. But still could seem a lot of people doing their last hour shopping for their loved onez before leaving home. But with the flood in Purba and Paschim, i think a lot of our countryz citizenz will be spending their holiday in kathmandu itself. Especially in Purba cause da' planez r packed, no road, boat ridez r risky. U know how it goez.

Well, at aroun' 1PM reached home. 'cause had a show at at Gujeshowri High School, Pipal Bot, Charapath. At aroun' 2 pm, Mad Zone, Prashna arrived at mi ghar [house]. Then we went to da' show, on da' way picked Prashant from Myst band. Wuz a very fun show for a good cause. Lots of bands from the commnunity also performed. Rs.15,000 collected from the ticket sale wuz donated to the Samudayik Youth for the development of the sports and music in their community. There wuz also a dashain lucky draw, some won ducks, goats, etc, etc...

Afta' da' show, we all stopped by mi ghar n' chilled fo' a while. Then evryone drifted apart. Again I had a few meetinz to attend so on mi way.
1st day of Dashain, so, there wuz' a small family get together at mi ghar but I missed it. It happenz sometimez. Well, today letz how da' dayz goez today. Till tonite, Peace

Well very tirin' day wuz yesterday. almost 5 hrz total caught in da' traffic jam. well, had to attend a conference at Baber mahal, i wuz at Baneshwor. took me two hours to get there due to da' jam. well da' traffic report said it wuz da' worst jam in two year. i guess it must be due to the dashian shoping. Well, the conference wuz held on HIV/AIDs by Shakti Milan Kendra. They are an organization formed,run and working for women infected with the HIV virus. Below is the press release. Bandh

Well as stated yesterday, it was a bandh today. The bandh was called Rastriya Jana Morcha. It was called to oppose federalism and to make people aware of what exactly is federalism and how it is going to affect the people of Nepal. Some wondered why call the bandh right on the mouth of the festival season and they had a great and a simple explanation, they said it was the right time to call the bandh 'cause it would make the most impact this time of the year. If it was done in other times, people would just take it as another bandh but at this time it would make people think about federalism and during the holiday talk about it with their family members and think about it. The explanation was good and definetely we do need to think about the affect of federalism in Nepal. But again the timing of da' bandh did make a lot of people feel uncomfortable.
Well, the strike was called from 6am to 5 pm. After 5, life must've came to normal. I don't know 'cause rested da' whole day today.

Arniko Secondary Boarding School

Arniko School had a fete today. The director Mr. Sudhil Shahi had invited us. Wuz a very fun event. Played a few games. Mi along with Rakesh from Mad Zone went to the event.

Well, after the fete, chilled out for a while. Jyotsna, Executive Director of Worec, joined us. Talked about the country and the situation here. Especially about the States that will be formed and how it should be divided. Should it be divided ethnicity wise or geographically. All of us came to da' same conclusion. What conclusion?? All of us should move forward as one, as a Nepali.

Personally i feel mechi to mahakali, da' way Nepal is divided right now is just fine. in a single region, it covers the himal, da' pahad, da' terai, so this is the best way to make the states. mechi as one state, koshi as one state, mahakali....... as one state. now da' only thing we need is de-centralization. That's how i feel.

Yeap, another day finishin' up on unfinished work. I guess dat'z wat' i said yesterday too.

Well, da' traffic wuz crazy today. Don't know why but there were traffic jamz everywhere. maybe it could've been the dashian shoppin'.

Well, on da' show today we had a short talk with Mr.Sagar, he's da' vice president of Rotaract Club of Kathmandu Midtown. They're currently in the flood affected areas helping out. Nine 91.9 FM

Yeap another day catchin' up on da' unfinished workz.

My ol' colleague from Image FM, sonika is currently stationed in Nine 91.9 FM in Siliguri, dat'z in India. One of da' finest Radio Presentz in town, i had to send her a voice over. It had been monthz but today finally got da' chance to make one. so, made one. ha, ha. jus' emailed it to her.

Now, once itz mixed and all, i guess she'll email me da' final mix. then we'll post it up here and we'll all get to listen to it.

Drinkin' tea now, but cookin' iz definetely not my cup of tea. But if u get da' latest copy of Nari Magazine, u'll get da' finest recipez to cook durin' dashain festival straight from da' nsk's kitchen. ha, ha.

Well, again at aroun' 9 PM went aroun' town to see how da' festival mood wuz'. Next week dashain startz. but again most evrything wuz' closed down at 9 PM. Da' only difference wuz' dat' now itz gettin' a lil' colder than before, i guess datz' da' sign of da' winter comin'. Lots of checkin' on da' road though.

Wednesday

Yeap, just like it was said yesterday. the streets were heated in da' mornin'. heard in da' news that aboun' 9 vehicles got vandalised durin' a protest ralley held by the people protesting against the law which says the restaurants have to close down by 11. but by da' day time the dust settled down, normal life began. although it was a rainy day, wuz' rainin' really hard.

had to catch up on a few things. so finished 'em. but i said i'd answer a few questions in my last blog, i won't in this blog. 'cause got caught up in da' few things, like i said above. ha, ha.

no time to take pictures today, so i'll post u a picture of one of mi dog. he's name is da' jango.

No Strikes

Well, no strikes today.
So, a brother from da' band The Myst wanted to check out a new bike for himself. So, we went to Hero Honda 'cause he wanted da' new Honda model R.... something. I'll tell u da' name tomorrow, forgot. But da' picturez here though. Mi'z on da' black bike and u can see Prashant on da' yellow bike. U can download his music, better even u can download his bands video, i'll tell u da' address tomorrow. It's more of rock but a few rap fusions also. We'll find out which bike he'll get tomorrow.

Well da' new budget dat' da' government issued has taken it's tole. This bike was selling for 206,000 till sunday but since the new budget now it's selling for 222,000. The taxes has been raised on vehicles, road tax, etc, etc. In just a few dayz, u can see da' difference. Well, da' governments plan is to raise taxes on vehicle to control da' vechicles on da' road to control traffic, decrease accidents,etc, etc. Let hope the plan workz.

Well i told u u'll find out which bike he gets tomorrow. but da' word on da' street is dat' tomorrow again there is a bandh [stike] called. So, da' city might just close down again. We'll find out tomorrow.

Well, while we stopped to have a cold drink in a restaurant, got a chance to meet up wid' a old fren of mine, Jyotsna. Shez da' Executive Director of WOREC, datz' Women's Rehabilitation Center. So, got a chance to get catch up on da' projects they're working on and how the country is running. U can also find out what they're working on through http://www.worecnepal.org/ . Then a journalist fren of mine, Saurav, from Blast daily newspaper from Dharan made a appearance there too. He's in town for a few days. So, we got chance to talk about the flood in Koshi and etc, etc.

After we departed, met another brother of mine, my brothers frenz. Went to WTC to see how the festival mood was. It was around 8 pm and most every store was closed. Got a chance to talk to one of da' shopkeeper and he told us dat' da' shop had been closed for da' past two days and had just opened today due to the citywide stike and he wuz' afraid dat' there was another stike tomorrow. Then, took a trip to New Road which was silent and back to Durbar Marg. Had a cup of mint tea.

With the new rules implimented, the restaurants close at 11pm. Got a chance to talk with the manager and he was happy with the new rule cause he thought it could control crime upto a limit. he said it really didn't affect his restaurant 'cause he used to close at 11pm even before the new rule. But he really seemed concerned about the rest of the restaurants and the hundreds and thousands of job cuts and unemployed people. Definetely, that's a issue that all of should be thinking too, i think.

Another Day

Yeap, we thought the problem between was solved last nite. But it continued today. Yeap again Basantapur and New Road area was in turmoil. Shops closed and protest. But as the day progressed it started to settle down. Don't really know if the problem has been resolved or not. Will find out tomorrow. Letz hope allz settled.

Had to go out fo' dinner. Will post da' picz soon. letz hope. ha, ha. Well, festival season has started. So, allz da' storez got festival discountz hanging.

Another Day of Protest

Again another day of protest in the city today. Decided to take a trip around town at around 9 pm. the streets were silent except a few restaurants, although lazimpat was fully lit. from Lazimpat we went aroun new road. still aroun Basantapur, there were scuffles between the police and the protesterz. Then came around Durbar Marg. Wuzn't as busy as usual. Decided to have a bowl of soup. And on the news we saw that the talks between the government and the protesters were successful. Great news for us all. Well till tomorrow. Peace.

Da' Dance Party

Well, today half of the city was closed due to the problem between the government and the procession of the Kumari. the government tried to stop a few rituals that was a very essential part of the Kumari Puja. But around 5 pm, the scuffle died down after the talks between the two parties. But still it hasn't been solved completely. The procession being stopped is considered a bad omen. Let's just hope and pray everything goes well in the country. And let's hope the government people think of the consequences about their actions before making a decision without even consulting with the people, especially an issue that holds sentimental value to the majority of the people. Religion, cast, race, these delicate topics to be studied well before they are touched. It was a very sad incident, which could have been avoided. Again let's hope and pray that we head towards the right direction for a better Nepal. Cause with the Saptakoshi problem still not under control, we can't afford another calamity natural or man-made.

Well, I told you about the party organized by the St.Xavier's College Student. At aroung 7, went there. Wuz a fun party. Got a chance to meet up with some of da' frenz hadn't met for a while. We had Sandeep from Axis, Naren from Astha, Rakesh from Mad Zone, Bhuwan KC and the list goes on.

Well, the dance party was to raise fund from Nava Dailo. And it was great to see everyone supporting a good cause.
